What a great pleasure to welcome members of the Round Square family from around the world to Brookhouse for the conference in April 2012.
The students and staff here are looking forward to giving you a truly memorable African experience, one that will both celebrate the wonders of Kenya and also invite you to consider the challenges we face in learning that, for a sustainable future, there is “no existence without coexistence”.
The Africa region is proud to be hosting the Round Square international conferences in 2012, and we have been working closely with our colleagues at Penryn College to ensure that both events in April (here in Kenya) and in September/October (in South Africa) capture the excitement of our unique continent.
Kenya is an amazing country of great promise in the 21st Century, and Brookhouse is deeply committed to its role in nurturing young leaders who can face the responsibility of shaping the future of the nation with courage and compassion.
Founded in 1981, Brookhouse celebrates 30 years of international education in Nairobi during 2011, and there could be no better way to embark on the next 30 years than to host the Round Square international conference in 2012.
So, I hope that when you are here with us in Kenya you learn a little Swahili, experience the wonder of our wildlife, and get to know our Brookhouse family a little better. We look forward to it.
Karibu!
